BOTOX® COSMETIC is the only FDA approved treatment of its type. It is a purified protein that is administered by our qualified medical professional via tiny injection into the muscles that cause unwanted facial animation lines or wrinkles. It's method of action is that it blocks nerve impulses to the muscles, which reduces the movement of those muscles. With less movement, the surface of the skin gradually smoothes out and animated wrinkles are less notable. The full effect of the injections will take between 48 and 96 hours. Slight bruising may occur. Small bumps may appear at the injection sites as with any injection and these normally resolve within an hour.
